Investing in HSP is inevitable

Being highly sensitive often comes to light when someone is negatively affected by it. Think of stress complaints, tiredness or neck, back or stomach pains. Or the vaguer complaints such as feelings of loneliness, asking oneself ‘what the use is’, adapting a lot, being known as a listener but not being able to listen to oneself. The complaints accumulate, continue to linger, which means that sooner or later breakdowns, absenteeism or burn-out seem inevitable with all its consequences. You should therefore turn it around: investing in HSP is inevitable if you want to prevent (repeated) breakdowns, absenteeism and burnout.

Everyone has encountered an HSP

You may have encountered an HSP at work in your role as an HR manager, as a manager on the work floor or you recognize it in a co-worker. Or you see an HSP in you daily practice as career coach, therapist or psychologist. Or you see that children in your class or practice are highly sensitive. Whatever your role, the chances are that you encountered an HSP. Why? Because scientific research indicates that about 20% of the population has this trait. 1 in 5 people is highly sensitive, although not everyone knows this about themselves
